Hi, I'm Dani — the girl behind The Health Hippie.
I'm here to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and find your own path to feeling well.

My journey with yoga

My relationship with yoga began in college, when I took a class that unexpectedly changed how I felt. I walked away feeling deeply relaxed, calm, and connected to myself in a way I hadn't experienced before.

As a dancer, I had developed a strong connection to movement and my body. But dance often came with expectations and a sense of performance. Yoga felt different. It gave me permission to move, breathe, and simply be — without needing to perform or be anything other than myself.

That experience stayed with me and eventually led me to teaching. Since 2017, I've shared yoga in a variety of settings, including hospitals, corporate workplaces, studios, gyms, and schools. Along the way, I've taught different styles, from vinyasa to yin, restorative, and chair yoga.

These experiences have reinforced something I believe deeply: yoga isn't about fitting your body into a practice. It's about finding a practice that meets you where you are.

When my own health asked me to slow down

For a long time, I thought moving forward meant always doing more. I stayed busy, pushed through, and gradually tied my sense of worth to how much I could accomplish. But eventually, my own health asked me to slow down.

I spent years navigating ongoing health challenges, searching for answers, and moving from one diagnosis and treatment to another. The experience challenged how I understood wellness and encouraged me to look beyond doing everything “right.”

I began paying closer attention to the bigger picture: nourishment, stress, rest, daily habits, and my connection with myself. I learned that wellness isn't about perfection. It's about listening to what we need, approaching ourselves with compassion, and making small, sustainable changes.

My journey continues to shape how I support others. It reminds me that well-being is personal, and sometimes the most meaningful changes begin when we slow down and reconnect with ourselves.

Getting back to our roots

To me, getting back to our roots means returning to the simple things that help us feel connected to ourselves and the world around us.

Nourishing ourselves, moving in ways that feel good, making room for rest, spending time in nature, connecting with others, and making space for joy.

In a world that constantly encourages us to do more, these things can be easy to overlook. But there is no single formula for wellness. What supports one person may look different for another, and our needs can change throughout our lives.

I believe wellness begins with discovering what works for you.

My experience and training

Yoga and holistic health coaching are at the heart of my work.

I hold a 300-hour yoga teacher certification and have taught yoga since 2017 in a variety of settings, including hospitals, workplaces, studios, climbing gyms, and schools. My teaching includes vinyasa, yin, restorative, and chair yoga.

In 2022, I earned my health coaching certification through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Since then, I've coached private clients and spoken at wellness events, including global events.
Through yoga and coaching, I help people explore nutrition, lifestyle habits, stress management, sleep, mindfulness, daily routines, and personal goals.

My approach is collaborative and personalized. I aim to meet people where they are and help them discover practical ways to support their well-being.

A more personal approach to wellness

This belief is at the heart of The Health Hippie. I'm not here to tell you who to be or what your health journey should look like. I'm here to create a welcoming space where you can explore what works for you.

Through yoga and holistic health coaching, I bring together mindful movement, practical lifestyle habits, and a compassionate approach to well-being.

My goal is to help you reconnect with yourself and build habits that support the life you want to live—without the pressure to be perfect.

Wherever you are, you're welcome here

Maybe you're looking for a way to slow down, bring more movement and relaxation into your life, or create healthier everyday habits. Wherever you're starting from, you don't have to change everything overnight or have all the answers.

Let's get back to our roots, reconnect with what matters, and find your own way to wellness.

I'm so glad you're here. Welcome to The Health Hippie.
